Humba (Braised Pork Belly) Recipe is one of the most popular Filipino authentic dish. A typical Humba dish is served with potatoes and hard-boiled eggs on top of it. To add on it, this recipe do have a distinctive sweetened taste.

Humba Recipe Ingredients :
· 1 lb. pork cut into pieces
· 1/3 cup vinegar
· 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
· 1/4 cup soy sauce
· 1 bay leaf
· 1/4 tsp. pepper or 1 tsp. peppercorns
· 1 cup water
· 3 cloves crushed garlic
· 1 tsp. oil
· salt
Optional - Addon Ingredients
· 3 peeled and quartered potatoes
· hard-boiled eggs
Humba Cooking Procedures :
1). Mix all ingredients in a big pot and boil. Lower heat and simmer for about an hour until pork belly is tender.
2). Add (optional) potatoes and hard-boiled eggs in this dish. Potatoes usually cook about 15 minutes. Choose whether, you like it soft or just tender for you to bite. You may also include it on halfway of cooking.
3). Let the hard boiled egg sits for a few minutes before its done so that the sauces can cover it.
4). Remove the bay leaf and peppercorns before serving. Serve while its hot
